Hi! My name is Britt Bennett and I am a certified preschool through 5th grade elementary teacher. I attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Over the past six years I have taught preschool, first, second, and fourth grade. I have had the amazing privilege of working with children for over 15 years as a teacher, nanny, camp counselor, tutor, and mentor. Through my experience, I believe all children can learn. My job as a teacher and tutor is to help reach each individual child at their level, motivate them, and find creative ways to help them develop a love for life-long learning. My passion is, and has always been, to encourage children to explore the world around them.
I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, my husband and our three loving pets. We have Ginger- an affectionate black and brown dog, Petey- an insanely energetic Aussie, and Leopold- our very chubby, blue-eyed cat. I also enjoy yoga, traveling, decorating, cooking, and of course reading, especially children’s books! My favorite children’s author is Judy Schachner, who is famous for creating Skippyjon Jones, a Siamese cat who thinks he is a Chihuahua and just can’t stay out of trouble!
